Multilingualism & Literacy

Schools in the Northern Netherlands are faced with the challenge of designing language and vocational education in multilingual classes, taking into account Frisian and its dialects, Low Saxon and its varieties, Dutch, modern foreign languages and a growing number of home languages of students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. In our lectorate we collect and research knowledge and experiences of professionals and students in the field of multilingualism and literacy and we offer tools and solutions for educational practice.
